MISSION: To educate and support individuals involved in the development and fund raising activities of the nonprofit organizations of the Inland Northwest.

Core Values: INDC membership is open to any individual, institution or organization which subscribes to, and abides by, the professional principles of ethics accepted by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and other publicly recognized organizations involved in the development and support of non profit organizations.

The Inland Northwest Development Council evolved out of prior Spokane organizations that were focused on connecting grant-makers and grant-seekers, as well as providing professional development for grant-seekers and development professionals. In July of 1993 a Charter was drawn up for the Inland Northwest Development Council “to provide a structure for networking and learning.” The Inland Northwest Development Council or INDC did not incorporate or seek 501(C)(4) status, as their intent was to keep the group informal.

MEETINGS

INDC provides programs that give fundraisers and development professionals throughout the Inland Northwest a chance to learn and be inspired. With that in mind, each year INDC offers a series of programs that deal with a variety of topics and offer our members and guests the opportunity for education, support and connection with their development peers.

Regular INDC programs (11:30 AM to 1:00 PM) are on the 3rd Thursday of January, March, May, September and November. In addition to our regular programs, we hold “brown-bag” lunches for additional educational opportunities and networking. These are on the 3rd Thursday of October, February and April. “Brown bags” are round table discussions and are not led by a speaker. These are also held by Zoom from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

“Brown bags” are open to all wanting to learn about development. You do not need a membership to attend.
